Planning to import goods, export products or receive payments for exported services? You will need an Import Export Code (IEC). It is a 10-digit code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and is required for most cross-border trade.
Some government bodies and specified categories are exempt, and imports or exports for personal use generally do not need an IEC.
IEC holders must update or confirm their IEC details on the DGFT portal every year within the prescribed window, even if nothing has changed. If not updated, the IEC can be deactivated.
Apply easily with our IEC registration service. Exporters may also need GST registration.
Our team of chartered accountants, company secretaries and legal professionals handles the paperwork so you can focus on growing your business.
