What Is MPEDA Registration?
The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) promotes exports of marine products from India. Exporters of marine products must register with MPEDA as merchant or manufacturer exporters.
Marine products include frozen fish, shrimp, squid, cuttlefish, dried fish and other seafood. Exports to many markets also need approved processing plants and health certificates issued under the Export Inspection Council.
