What Is an AD Code?
An Authorised Dealer (AD) code is a 14-digit code issued by the bank where the exporter holds a current account for export transactions. It links your export shipments to your bank account.
The AD code must be registered with customs – now online through ICEGATE – for every port from which you export. Without it, shipping bills cannot be filed and export incentives such as drawback cannot be credited.
