• Investment and turnover details (largely pre-filled from PAN and GST data)

How to register, step by step

1. Verify the Aadhaar of the applicant on the Udyam portal.
2. Enter the PAN of the enterprise; details are validated against government records.
3. Fill in business details, activities, bank account and employee count.
4. Submit the application; the Udyam certificate is generated online.

The government registration is free. Beware of websites that charge for “renewal” – Udyam registration does not expire.
